We are delighted to introduce the newest addition to Doctors’ Center Hospital | Orlando Health: the Pancreas and Digestive Health Institute, located in Dorado, Puerto Rico. This institute represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) diseases.

At the core of this institute is the vision to consolidate expertise across various medical specialties into a single, comprehensive location. From surgical interventions to oncological treatments, interventional gastroenterology, and interventional radiology, our aim is to centralize these services under one roof. Moreover, we place a strong emphasis on quality assurance to ensure the highest standards of care.

The primary objective is to create a hub where patients with complex pancreatic and liver conditions can receive specialized, multidisciplinary care. Currently, in Puerto Rico, there is a gap in such consolidated care, often necessitating patients to navigate between different facilities. With our institute, this fragmentation is no longer necessary.

We are proud to offer patients and their families access to comprehensive services, including assessment for hereditary cancer risks and integration of clinical trials—a resource typically available only in the US’s national centers. Our institute will be the first and only facility in Puerto Rico dedicated to pancreas and digestive health, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, early detection, and prevention all under one roof.
