Doctors’ Center Hospital experimentó incidente cibernético

No se afectaron los servicios, ni la atención a los pacientes y ya sus sistemas están en total operación

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Doctors’ Center Hospital de Puerto Rico desea notificar a sus pacientes que los Hospitales enfrentaron un incidente de seguridad cibernética que impactó su red de comunicaciones.  El incidente ha sido atendido y no afectó los servicios de los Hospitales, ni se ha reportado mal uso de la información de los pacientes.

Los sistemas están totalmente restablecidos del incidente de seguridad detectado el 17 de octubre de 2022. En el momento en que se tuvo conocimiento del incidente, se le notificó a las autoridades correspondientes, se comenzó una investigación interna y se contrataron consultores externos expertos en incidentes de seguridad.  Al presente, no se tiene evidencia que pueda sugerir que haya mal uso de información de pacientes.

Los Hospitales pertenecientes a Doctors’ Center Hospital de Puerto Rico están comprometidos en brindar servicios de calidad y excelencia, y esto incluye la protección de la información personal de sus pacientes.  Durante este incidente de seguridad, que cada vez afecta más a las organizaciones que brindan servicios de salud, los Hospitales han estado trabajando con consultores de IT para revisar, analizar y fortalecer sus sistemas de informática para asegurar la seguridad y confidencialidad de los datos.

Doctors’ Center Hospital experienced cyber incident

Services and patient care were not affected and their systems are already fully operational

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Doctors’ Center Hospital de Puerto Rico wishes to notify its patients that its Hospitals faced a cyber security incident that impacted their communications network. The incident has been addressed and did not affect the services of the Hospitals, nor has misuse of patient information been reported.

The systems are fully restored from the security incident detected on October 17, 2022. The Hospitals immediately informed law enforcement agencies and took steps to investigate the incident.  Also, the Hospitals retained an external forensic consultant to determine the extent and scope of the incident.  To date, there is no evidence that any personal health information has been misused.

The Hospitals belonging to Doctors’ Center Hospital de Puerto Rico are committed to providing quality care services and excellence, including the protection of patients’ personal information. During this security incident, which increasingly affects healthcare organizations, the Hospitals have been working with IT consultants to review, analyze, and strengthen their computer systems to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.
